The beautiful warm days of summer bring forth many festivals and outdoor activities.  The best ones are free and open to the public such as Market Day in Downtown Newnan. The fourth Market Days of 2016 is Saturday, July 2 from 10 am to 2 pm. Market Day features over 50 unique vendors with a variety of one-of-a-kind gift items, and seasonal items. Products are handmade, homemade and/or homegrown.
Some of the Market Day favorite items include: fresh, locally-grown produce, honey, jams & jellies, salsa, pottery, art, handmade children’s clothes, hand-woven baskets, leather products, freshly-baked goods, handmade furniture, handmade birdhouses, wood-art, fiber-art, wreathes and floral design, and much more! If picking on the square means summer to you, check out the Pickin’ on the Square that is hosted on the first and third Saturday of the month around the Court House Square in downtown Newnan.
On July 4th, come out to enjoy Newnan’s Fourth of July Parade at Veteran’s Memorial Park at 9 a.m. and will end at Greenville Street Park.
